Colchester's community theatre — performances and workshops

The Headgate Theatre is a well-equipped 'little gem of a theatre' in Colchester town centre, welcoming visiting amateur and professional groups onto its stage since 2002. Run largely by volunteers, it hosts a varied programme of plays, music, comedy and workshops, and offers opportunities to get involved on stage, backstage, front of house or in production. New volunteers are always welcome.
